Dean’s Award


As a recognition of outstanding performance, students will get the prestigious Dean’ Award. It is an significant event in the lives of these students to be recognized and awarded a Certificate of Recognition. They can use these certificates as a proof of their academic excellence whenever they will apply for a job or pursue Higher Studies. Based on the following criterias, students will carefully assess to enable them to quality for this prestigious academic award:

 

·       No student obtaining CGPA 3.75 or above for Faculty of Business Studies, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Science and Technology; CGPA 3.65 or above for Faculty of Arts and Social Science during any regular academic semester.

 

·       No Grade Point (GP) less than 3.25 in any course in previous record.

 

·       In case of selection, the selection panel will prefer batch/semester. But, if any batch has less than 5 students, and/or there is no eligible candidates (< minimum CGPA); then batches of a particular year will be merged for consideration.

 

·     Merit position of 1st (or sometimes 2nd), demonstrate exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, and involvement in extracurricular activities.

 

·       In the case of more than one student getting the same CGPA the number will increase.

 

·       Credit Transferred students and Re-admitted students will not be eligible for this award.

 

·       Candidate must not have any record of disciplinary action(s) complying with BU policy.

 

·       Retake, Recourse, Improvement, Course Withdrawal/Semester Drop/Discontinuity are not acceptable. But, in case of Recourse/Retake, one may be acceptable in case of genuine reasons (e.g. illness); will be evaluated by the committee members with proper documents.

 

 

Chancellor's Gold Medal

 

Chancellor's Gold Medal will be provided based on the cumulative grade point average (CGPA), realizing for academic excellence achieved over the duration of an entire undergraduate and postgraduate career. Committee members studied and discussed the policies for this award which may be executed in future. The recommended set of policies are given below:-

·       One candidate among all Undergraduate programs with highest CGPA and One candidate among all Postgraduate programs with highest CGPA is awarded with Chancellor's Gold Medal in an academic year. Candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 3.90 in both the cases.

 

·       Candidate must not have a record of dropping course(s).

 

·       No F(Fail), I(Improvement), W(Withdraw) & No Retake or Recourse.

 

·       Shall not have any record of disciplinary action(s).

 

·       Credit Transferred and Readmitted students will not be eligible for this award.

 

 

Vice Chancellor's Excellency Award

 

Vice Chancellor's Excellency Award can be provided for achieving a CGPA of 4.00 out of 4.00.
